I went to the control panel, found sound, then drivers, and rolled back to previous version, hoping to fix the problem.Īfter restart, I see that background noise is gone. That was true for TS2 and for any other program producing sound. There was background noise on my PC and sound was stuttering. Once installed and restarted, I saw a problem. My PC has no separate sound card, so I don't mind. The package included audio drivers, too, which I ticked for installation, as always. Then I downloaded the latest set of drivers for my video card from the Nvidia page. I even deleted the adapter from the device list and allowed the PC to detect it again.
I was very surprised, since it ran without problems before, and took it as my cue to uninstall the drivers. Recently TS2 refused to run, informing me that there's no DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapter on my PC.
